Senior Commercial Manager

Job Purpose

To support the Head of Commercial- Shipping in the leadership and management of the function, contribute to the success of the Commercial Division through wider senior and international stakeholder engagement, and act in their stead as deputy as operational requirements dictate.

Responsible for leading contract management, negotiations, and business development within a specified area, development of negotiation strategies and managing contracts through the applicable commercial processes towards approval; and managing all commercial aspects of existing contracts through appropriate interfaces with customer, service provider (e.g., Site Licence Company) and internal project manager (if applicable).

Key Expectations of the Job Holder Delivery responsibilities:

• Commercial management of all Japanese PNTL transport contracts associated with MOX, Vitrified Residue, Intermediate level waste, Spent Fuel and Global Acceptance

•Negotiation of sales contracts - Ensuring that contracts recommended for signature meet, or exceed, Company targets

•Contract Administration - Successful management of all contractual provisions to maximise the benefits to the Company

• Risk management - Ensuring that there are appropriate measures in place to satisfactorily manage the risk entered when a contract is signed

• Project Support - Ensuring appropriate commercial input to various selected projects involving capital expenditure on transport assets

• Management of all commercial activities in support of the PNTL Executive and Board

• Commercial input to all PNTL contracts and management of PNTL

• Support in preparation of the departmental Strategic Plan
