The Role:

As a Transport Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. End-to-End Transport Management: Collaborate with the Lead Transport Manager to handle transport contracts from initial planning through to successful delivery and closeout.
  2. Specialist Skills: Leverage your expertise! We’re seeking individuals with a strong behavior set and specialist skills to meet the challenges of this critical role.
  3. Development Program: NTS invests in your growth. We provide comprehensive training and on-the-job experience over an extended period to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Your Responsibilities:

Once you’ve completed the development program, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Planning and Preparation: Oversee safe, secure, and complex regulatory-compliant Radioactive Material (RAM) Transports.
  • Routine Transport Management: Handle routine transports efficiently.
  • Asset Support: Manage asset maintenance, lifting, and radiological protection services.
  • Risk Assessment: Generate risk assessments for UK and Overseas transport activities.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving measures.
  • Radiological Expertise: Advise on radiological matters and provide on/offsite services.
  • Business Development: Contribute to feasibility studies and explore new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree qualification (or related field)
