Service Delivery Manager 

What is the key purpose of this role?

To lead and manage a team of Traincrew at a DRS location, ensuring sufficient capacity, availability and competence to deliver rail services in line with the company’s safety, customer service and commercial goals.

What are the key deliverables and accountabilities of the role?

  • Be accountable for day-to-day line management of Traincrew at the location, in line with company policies, procedures and working instructions.
  • Ensure Traincrew availability and competence to fulfil 365/24/7 services planned by Planning teams.
  • Ensure Traincrew adhere to agreed terms and conditions (Ts & Cs).
  • Ensure all Service Delivery operations:
    • Are safe, secure, and reliable
    • Meet customer expectations
    • Meet commercial targets
    • Comply with national, railway and nuclear mandated regulations and standards
  • Lead safety, security, and resilience activities at the location, supporting Company initiatives and ensuring all safety plans and associated activities are carried out to the required standard.
  • Be accountable for service delivery performance at the location against agreed Integrated Business Performance (IBP) key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop, maintain, and champion a safety culture throughout Service Delivery.
  • Deputise for the Senior Service Delivery Manager as required.
